::Calendar Contest::

 Our yearly Calendar Contest has just begun! We've received many wonderful photos the last couple of years running this contest and are excited to see what will come through this year. 

 At the end of the contest we will draw two names and each of those people will receive a FREE 2010 NIRO Calendar! One name will be drawn from the winners, and one will be drawn out of ALL entrants for the contest.

Rules for the contest

• Contest starts on Friday, September 4, 2009

• There is no entry limit.
  

• Photos should be the highest resolution and as large a size as possible.  (small files or photos with poor resolution will not look good when blown up to an 8.5" x 11" size to fit the calendar page).

• Photos should feature rats! (Don't laugh. It has to be said!) Simple photos work best.  Photos with busy backgrounds do not make good calendar images.  Make sure the photo's main focus is the rat or rats.

• Email all photos in jpg/jpeg format to nirocalendar@gmail.com 

• Include Your Name and the name of the rat(s) in the photo.

• All photos that are submitted MUST be taken by the person who is submitting them---no copyright infringement and no professional photos unless they have been taken by the person submitting them.

• You do not have to be a member of NIRO to submit photos. The contest is open to the entire rat community. 

• Deadline for submitting photos is Friday, October 2, 2009 at midnight (CST in the USA)

• Voting starts on Friday, October 9, 2009.

• Voting ends on Friday, October 23, 2009 at midnight (CST in the USA)

• Calendars featuring the 13 winning photos will be available for purchase by November 7, 2009. Plenty of time to order gifts for the holidays!
